Deputy Minister Karen Karapetyan discussed with the representatives of the Asian Development Bank the new framework action plan of ADB cooperation with Armenia for 2024-2028.

Deputy Minister of Justice Karen Karapetyan received representatives of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The deputy minister highly appreciated the cooperation formed between the Ministry of Justice and ADB, and also emphasized the importance of jointly implemented programs.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the new framework action plan for ADB cooperation with Armenia for 2024-2028, which is planned to be developed in line with the priorities and needs of the RA government.

In this context, the strategic directions of judicial and legal, anti-corruption and public administration reforms were presented. The legislative amendments planned in the field of arbitration, mediation and bankruptcy as part of judicial and legal reforms were discussed. The strategy of the anti-corruption sector was presented at the same time, including the key directions underlying the strategy: prevention of corruption, countering corruption, strengthening of integrity in the public administration system, declaration, increasing transparency in the private sector, detection of corruption crimes, anti-corruption education and awareness.

The development of the capacities of the Ministry's employees in the field of development of strategic documents and strategic forecasts, including the creation of electronic platforms, the improvement of existing platforms, as well as cooperation in the direction of the digitization process, was emphasized on both sides.

Karen Karapetyan also mentioned the reforms of the penitentiary sector, in particular, the works aimed at improving the probation service.

The parties agreed to create more effective opportunities for interaction.
