Statement of information on the absence of marriage is issued by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia.
  1. The statement of information is issued by the Ministry of Justice ofthe Republic of Armenia:
-       in Armenian (form N 1 with original seal and signature), (form N 1 with electronic seal and signature)
-       in Armenian and English (form N 2 with original seal and signature), (form N 2 with electronic seal and signature)
-       in Armenian and Russian (form N 2 with original seal and signature), (form N 2 with electronic seal and signature)
  1. Statements of information on the absence of marriage (Form N 1, Form N 2) are prepared by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia through electronic management system and are provided in hard copy or electronically — upon the will of the applicant.
The application on receipt of a statement of information on the absence of marriage may be filed in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, as well as via "www.e-services.moj.am" electronic platform (For further details see):
Where the application is filed in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, the statement of information is handed to the applicant in person, in hard copy.
Where the application is filed via the "www.e-services.moj.am" electronic platform, the statement of information may be delivered to the applicant electronically to his or her electronic address.
One statement of information is issued per application. The version of the statement of information issued is chosen by the applicant. One statement of information is issued under the same number. A duplicate of the statement of information is not provided. If the statement of information is lost, a new application shall be submitted as prescribed by the law.
  1. What is the procedure for issuing a statement of information on a marriage?
The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia issues a statement of information on the absence of marriage in the Republic of Armenia to citizens of the Republic of Armenia, foreign citizens and stateless persons, who are record-registered in the State Register of Population of the Republic of Armenia and have (had) permanent residence in the Republic of Armenia, as well as to citizens of the Republic of Armenia, who are record-registered in the State Register of Population of the Republic of Armenia but do not have (did not have) permanent residence in the Republic of Armenia; such statement of information may be issued in two languages (Armenian-Russian or Armenian-English), if the applicant wishes.
The application may be submitted by the person in respect of whom the statement of information is issued or the person authorised by the latter.
  1. Required documents attached to the application for issuance of statement of information on the absence of marriage
In case of submission of an application in person for the purpose to receive the statement of information, an identification document is submitted to the Ministry of Justice. In case the person has previously been in a registered marriage, a document certifying termination of the marriage concerned and a receipt of payment of the state duty are also submitted.
In case of applying through the authorised person:
(1)    identification document;
(2)    copy of the identification document of the applicant, simple power of attorney provided by the applicant;
(4)    receipt certifying payment of the state duty;
(5)    In case the person applying for a statement of information has previously been in a registered marriage, also a document certifying termination of that marriage.
  1. Within what period is a statement of information on the absence of marriage issued?
The statement of information is issued on the same working day.
  1. How much is the state duty?
  • A state duty in the amount of 10-fold of the base duty totalling to AMD10 000 00 is charged for receipt of a statement of information on the absence of registration of a civil status act (absence of marriage) in the Republic of Armenia.
  • A state duty in the amount of 15-fold of the base duty totalling to AMD15 000 00 is charged for receipt of a bilingual statement of information on the absence of registration of a civil status act (absence of marriage) in the Republic of Armenia.
A 16-digit number and a quick response (QR) code generated through the electronic management system shall be placed on the statements of information issued on the absence of marriage. The authenticity of statements of information can be verified by entering the number indicated thereon on the official website of verification of authenticity of official documents operating in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia "(www.e-verify.am)" or through the QR code. Where the application on receiving a statement of information is submitted electronically via the electronic platform "www.e-services.moj.am", the applicant is given an opportunity to receive the copy of the statement of information certified with an Apostille. Where the applicant wishes to receive his or her copy certified with an Apostille, the applicant must make an indication thereon in the relevant field when completing the application through the mentioned platform.
A state duty in the amount of 7-fold of the base duty totalling to AMD 70.000 ․is charged for receiving the copy of the statement of information certified with an Apostille.
Furthermore, it should also be added that statements of information on the absence of marriage are also issued by consulates of the Republic of Armenia in foreign states.

-       In Armenian and English (Form N 2) or (sample form of the announcement and power of attorney)
-       In Armenian and Russian (Form N 2) or (sample form of the announcement and power of attorney)
The 16-digit number and the quick response (QR) code generated through the unified electronic management system of registration of civil status acts operating in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia shall be placed on the certificate and statement of information.
The authenticity of statements of information shall be verified by entering the number indicated thereon on the official website of verification of authenticity of official documents operating in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia "(www.e-verify.am)" or through the QR code.
