The Council of Europe has officially published GRECO's interim report on the evaluation of the prevention of corruption among RA judges, prosecutors, and պառլիամենտ մեմբեռս. (https://rm.coe.int/grecorc4-2023-6-final-eng-2nd-interim-armenia-conf/1680aac534

As a result of large-scale anti-corruption and judicial reforms carried out by the Republic of Armenia, instead of the previous 7 recommendations, GRECO considers 9 recommendations to be fully implemented and the other 9 recommendations are considered to be partially implemented. The mentioned 2 recommendations are related to the prevention of corruption among prosecutors, as well as the activity of the Corruption Prevention Commission.

In particular, GRECO considered positive the introduction of trainings related to the prevention of conflicts of interest and corruption among prosecutors, as well as the introduction of a consulting mechanism on compliance with conflict of interests and rules of conduct in the Prosecutor's Office.

GRECO also considered the steps aimed at clarifying the powers and scope of functions of the Corruption Prevention Commission as progress.

Referring to the partially implemented recommendations, it should be noted that they are related to those given on the activities of the National Assembly deputies and judges, as well as to the existing regulations on the restrictions on the acceptance of gifts by officials, which is due to the need to adopt my-laws acts arising from the legislative amenedments implemented in 2022 and the corresponding structural regulations.

At the same time, referring to the partially implemented recommendations, GRECO stressed that the Government continues to take active steps towards their implementation.

Due to the progress, Armenia has finally come out of the non-compliance process of the GRECO assessment, no longer being considered a country with "generally insufficient" performance, as it was considered according to the results of the 2015-2019 assessments.

The Republic of Armenia has been a GRECO member since 2004 and is regularly evaluated in the context of the implementation of recommendations.
