Deputy Minister of Justice Ara Mkrtchyan and Advisor to the Minister Liana Tovmasyan received Rayden Llano, Special Advisor to the head of the US Agency for International Development.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the principles and tools that can be used by governments to reduce bureaucracy and simplify administration.

Ara Mkrtchyan presented the reforms implemented in the field of justice and current works. The deputy minister noted that the implemented reforms also aim to reduce the bureaucratic drag, in the context of which a number of laws and by-laws are already being improved. Ara Mkrtchyan emphasized the works carried out in the field of digitalization, the main goal of which is to provide the most convenient way to provide state services for citizens.

Adviser to the Minister Liana Tovmasyan, referring to other ways of reducing bureaucracy, pointed out the practice of implementing Civic Centers for the provision of state services, opening special service offices in various bodies of the justice sector, introducing hotline services and other citizen-centered measures.

Raiden Llano thanked for the productive meeting and emphasized the effectiveness of the cooperation between the two sides.

The parties emphasized the exchange of experience in the direction of improving administration, reducing bureaucratic processes and improving the quality of public services. As a result of the meeting, clear agreements were reached, aimed at future directions of cooperation.
