Judges have found a number of solutions for judicial and legal reforms with the Ministry of Justice

From April 23 to 24, with the participation of representatives of all the courts of Armenia, Deputy Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan, representatives of the Council of Europe Office and members of the Supreme Judicial Council, the issues raised by judges regarding the section in the draft of the 2022-2026 Strategy on Judicial and Legal Reforms and their constructive recommendations were compiled, and the problems and recommendations will be reflected in the draft of the Strategy and will be primary directions for reforms associated with the judiciary.

Introduction of the "Electronic Court" unified management system, review of the judicial system in the context of constitutional reforms, providence of the procedure for appealing the decisions of the Supreme Judicial Council and refining of the legislation on civil and administrative procedure in the Republic of Armenia were touched upon.

A number of current issues that are obstructing judges while they exercise their powers and the issues for ensuring logistics of courts were also discussed, agreements were reached to solve the problems.

The working discussion was organised by the Ministry of Justice and the Council of Europe within the scope of the Project "Support to the judicial reform — enhancing the independence and professionalism of the judiciary in Armenia".
