Ministry of Justice and UN Development Programme will co-operate in regard to the issues of constitutional reforms and the fight against corruption

Today, Minister of Justice Karen Andreasyan received Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Armenia Natia Natsvlishvili.

The Minister expressed gratitude for the effective co-operation and emphasised that the UNDP is one of the reliable partners of Armenia, especially in the context of human rights protection and the reforms being implemented in the police sector.

Minister Andreasyan attached importance to the ensuring of continuity of joint programmes and welcomed the launch of the new programme ”EU for resilient and accountable institutions-police and migration reform and human rights protection in Armenia”, funded by the European Union and being implemented by the UNDP.

Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Armenia Natia Natsvlishvili also attached importance to the need to co-operate in the aforementioned sectors, as well as in the process of constitutional reforms and anti-corruption activities, and expressed willingness to support the agenda of reforms in the justice sector.
