Working discussion on draft Law of Republic of Armenia “On making amendments to the Civil Procedure Code of Republic of Armenia”

Within the framework of the project "Strengthening the independence, professionalism and accountability of the Judicial system of Armenia" jointly implemented with the European Union and the Council of Europe, a round-table discussion on the draft Law of the Republic of Armenia "On making amendments to the Civil Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia" took place today in Yerevan with the participation of first Deputy Minister of Justice Arsen Mkrtchyan.

 The discussion was attended by Senior Project Officer of the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan Narine Gasparyan, local experts involved by the Council of Europe within the framework of the project “Strengthening the independence, professionalism and accountability of the Judicial system of Armenia” and a range of representatives of the state agencies of the Republic of Armenia.

 The participants of the discussion presented the opinions of the interested bodies represented by them on the draft Law of the Republic of Armenia “On making amendments to the Civil Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia”, with regard to which the parties conducted working discussions.

The recommendations presented by the participants will be summarised by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia and the draft Law with final revision will be submitted for approval of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

 The working discussion on the draft Law will continue also on 21 May.
