Application of interim measure in case of S. Mayrapetyan postponed
On 4 January 2019, through a notice sent from the European Court of Human Rights, the Government of the Republic of Armenia was informed that, on 2 January 2019, the lawyers of Samvel Mayrapetyan had addressed the European Court of Human Rights and asked that the latter, pursuant to Rule 39 of the Rules of the Court, apply an interim measure, binding the authorities of the Republic of Armenia to return the passport of the Applicant and permit the Applicant to immediately depart from the country to receive medical treatment at the medical institution in the Federal Republic of Germany indicated by the Applicant.
Ministry of Justice: Anti-Corruption Strategy will be a consensus document and will be adopted exclusively after large-scale discussions
On 19 December 2018, the Republic of Armenia Anti-Corruption Strategy and its Implementation Action Plan for 2019-2022 were published on the unified website for publication of legal acts' drafts (www.e-draft.am) of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia.
Self-assessment checklist of the United Nations Convention against Corruption being published
In 2018, the process of the Second Round for Implementation Monitoring of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (hereinafter referred to as "the Convention") was launched; within the framework of this, Chapter 2 (Prevention measures) and 5 (Asset recovery) of the Convention will undergo assessment. Within the framework of the Second Round for Implementation Review of the Convention, the supplemented version of the self-assessment checklist of the Republic of Armenia was submitted to the Secretariat of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.

Reforms carried out in the field of protection of children's rights presented
Deputy Minister Krmoyan noted that the concept of “the best interest of a child” was established through the amendments and supplements made to the Family Code of the Republic of Armenia in 2018. “Any action that is undertaken for a child must arise from his or her best interest,” the Deputy Minister said.
Documents for effective exercise of the right to health maintenance at penitentiary institutions and for guaranteeing the right to health maintenance have been developed

Deputy Minister Vigen Kocharyan welcomed the active participation of the representatives of state bodies, international and non-governmental organisations and noted that the incorporation of the presented sector-specific recommendations in the Action Plan for 2020 would be considered in the near future, if those recommendations are not incorporated in the Action Plan for 2017-2019.
