Ministry of Justice anticipating recommendations on reforms in human rights protection from stakeholders

26/08/2019

The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia has undertaken activities to elaborate the National Strategy on Human Rights Protection and the new Implementation Action Plan for 2020-2022 arising from the Strategy. The vision for the National Strategy on Human Rights Protection and the new Implementation Action Plan for 2020-2022 arising from the Strategy has been elaborated and presented for public consideration. To make this process more inclusive and comprehensive, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia envisages close co-operation with representatives of all stakeholder organisations and non-governmental organisations. For this purpose, once again, we suggest sending recommendations on reforms in human rights protection in accordance with the attached format (pdf) to international@moj.am by September 15, 2019. Discussions on the recommendations received will be organised in order to raise the level of effectiveness of the process. It is envisaged to set up sector-specific working groups comprising representatives of state bodies and non-governmental organisations.

Highly appreciating the role and significance of non-governmental organisations in the improvement of human rights protection in Armenia, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia anticipates effective and multilateral co-operation with partnering organisations.
