Suren Krmoyan discusses issues related to juvenile justice with counterparts from Kazakhstan

Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Suren Krmoyan participated in the TransMonEE network meeting of the national statistical offices and the sector-specific ministries of Europe and Central Asia held in Astana, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Issues related to access to justice and improvement of collection, analysis, dissemination and use of the data on violence against children were discussed within the scope of the meeting. In his speech, the Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia presented the close co-operation established between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia and the UN Children’s Fund in the sector of access to justice and collection of data on violence against children. During the business trip, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, Chairperson of the Council for Juvenile Justice Suren Krmoyan had several major meetings, particularly with Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan E. Azimova. Issues concerning the sectors of juvenile justice and collection of statistical data were discussed during the meeting. S. Krmoyan also met with the Head of the Judicial Department of the Republic of Kazakhstan and discussed issues related to e-justice and electronic courts. Within the scope of the visit to Kazakhstan, the Deputy Minister also met with counterparts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Issues related to co-operation in the penitentiary and probation sectors were discussed during the meeting.
